Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 June 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Japan Stock Dojo (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What the Service is
The Service provides English-language research and educational content about Japanese listed companies, derived from public disclosures and our own analysis. It is analysis-only and is delivered identically to all users. It is not investment advice, not a financial product, and not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. See the Disclaimer.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- Paid plans are billed in USD through our payment processor. Applicable taxes (including Japanese consumption tax) are added at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a period has begun; we may grant discretionary refunds. Statutory consumer-protection and specified-commercial-transaction rights (where applicable) are unaffected.
- We may change prices with notice; changes apply to the next renewal.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk extraction, no resale or redistribution of content, no attempts to breach security, and no use that violates law or third-party rights.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Dojo Score and our analysis, is owned by Japan Stock Dojo and protected by law. Underlying public disclosures and licensed data belong to their respective owners (see Licenses).
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Performance figures are backtested and hypothetical. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Japan Stock Dojo is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for investment decisions made using the Service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required by law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
10. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms; we'll post the new version here with a revised date.
